We will get food, drinks and well .. whatever! We have space for up to 150 people this time round, so it would be great if you could bring friends and work colleagues along 😛 more the merrier!  Id really appreciate if everyone could give this one a big push!!

There will be Finger food and 2 for 1 cocktails on the night.

Change is good!

I’ve been neglecting my blog for a little while. Like everyone else, the whole micro blogging thing (@jasonroe) is what has been keeping me going. I’m making a commitment here and now to go back “old school” again and resume blogging. You really cant beat a blog in terms of flexibility. There have been so many occasions where I wanted to write more than 140 characters, but the thought of having to go through the motions bored me to death.

This blog, its identity and who I am has changed a lot since I started blogging. Originally I wanted a place to chat about what I do in work, web design and development stuff. Well who would have guessed, but talking about that stuff after a day in the office bored me to tears. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do but to be honest, I hate talking about work outside of work. I would much prefer to have a good long chat about business than the technical side of what I do. Pixie putting the Paddy back into St.Patricks day.

On a slightly lighter note..The guys over at, in conjunction with the Irish St Patrick’s Festival are trying to muster up support for a huge photo sharing project. The project aims to help document this year’s paddy’s day festival. Genius! what better way to show the Yanks that we are still up for a good party!

As part of my patriotic duty as an Irish citizen, I would humbly like to invite every possible tourist (with a bit of Irish in them) back to Ireland for paddy’s day (17th March) . After all, where better to experience an authentic Irish festival then in Ireland. Now would be an ideal time to book a cheap flight and affordable accommodation. So why not drum up a bit of support and pass this on to everyone you know!

Check out the Irish St Patrick’s Festival (12th-17th March) and for more info (also thank the Sponsor, Canon) . You can follow paddy’s day via twitter at @stpatricksfest

Free customised blogs for Irish Hotels!

Last week, I went to a really interesting session about hotels and bogging set up by Ciara Feely. Keith Bohanna was speaking to a group of hoteliers about promoting themselves via blogs / twitter.

I found it quite interesting that the first barrier for most of the hoteliers was the lack expertise to set up a branded hotel blog. With that in mind, I decided to come up with this offer.

For a limited time, I am offering a number of Irish hoteliers the chance to get a blog installed / customised* free of charge. To top that off.. If you are a small hotel / b&b , I will also give you a free one-to-one crash course on twitter.

If you are in the hotel space and looking for a blog I would love to hear from you. If you know anyone in the tourism space who might be interested please pass this ton to them.

I’m not one to whore my name out that often, but this is for a good cause.  Shauneen just invited me to a Rally to “reinstate HPV vaccine programme” and to force Harney to u-turn. Harney is up the creek already from today’s news.. we may as well rub it in!

Pop on over to the facebook page and make sure to Invite your friends to join.

I’m not too sure about the Candlelit Vigil bit, maybe that’s to keep people warm?
