Jason Roe’s aims in running in the 2009 IIA Board election
Jason is a strong advocate of the ‘get out and push’ mentality that the internet community and industry represents. With this in mind, he believes strong leadership and people with innovative new approaches are key to dealing with the challenges IIA members will face during the economic downturn.
In the context of a knowledge economy, Jason believes that the IIA and its members can play a key role in securing the growth of this industry into the future.
Jason’s aim is to get on board with the IIA and facilitate the changes that are required to make this happen.
Issues Jason Roe will address as an IIA board member
If elected, areas that Jason will be paying extra attention to are:
- The encouragement and continued development of regional events, networking and training opportunities for all members.
- The improvement of how IIA members and the benefits of membership of the IIA are promoted.
- Enhanced communication with enterprise boards, local chambers of commerce and government bodies such as Enterprise Ireland and the IDA.
- Equipping members with the tools and opportunities to achieve international growth and to help them to ‘think outside of the box’ in terms of international exports.
- Leveraging the strengths of other organisations, both domestic and international, to benefit IIA members.
- Creating opportunities for micro sponsorship to facilitate new marketing opportunities for all members, including start-ups.
